eggplants and chocolates for pregnant women?

According to the myth, eating chocolates and eggplants during pregnancy will cause baby and the mother bad effects. Due to my case right now, I read through some articles over the net and I was surprised with I've learned about chocolates and eggplants during pregnancy.

In an article published in UK, it said that chocolates actually makes the baby a cheerful one. This was supported by the answers and comments of the women who gave birth with children whom are chocolate-fed while in their wombs. One said that among her 5 kids, the one whom she had lots of chocolates with during pregnancy is the most cheerful one among the 5.

The bad thing about chocolates is that they contain caffeine which was said to be bad for pregnant women. But a pop or 2 of chocolates in a day won't give you any bad effect because you might only consume, like, around 30mg of it in a day.

For eggplants, it is one of the highly-folic acid-giving vegetables. Folic acid is one those that nutrients that help form the baby's brain. In a study, it says that baby's born with their mother's who had little folic acid intake suffer from brain defects.

All I can say now is, just give in to your indulgence :)

Happy pregnancy!

A prof is back

It's been long since I last posted something in here. Miss you all!~just hope that somebody tried to keep track of my comeback :)

So many things had happened during my absence. You wouldn't know my marital status right now, because it's overly conplicated - tinalo pa ang relationship status ng friendster.

But about my professional status, it is just so-so. Like, I can't really tell that I am liking the career path that I am in right now. Aside from the fact that the institution I am i doesn't pay well, the load of work is indeed heavy. But, on the contrary, this is the only position I would be in because of my quote complicated relationship status unquote.

Okay, I won't put you on hang anymore. I am a professor now, teaching higher IT at ABE Manila.

What I love about my work is my students. Whenever I go to ABE, which happens in almost a daily basis, my students are the ones who lightens up my heavy load of work. Sometimes, I get to think of not going to work since I am certain that I am not earning well. But, my students make my days better.

As for my employment status in ABE, I am a full-time IT instructor and, at the same time, IT head. Quiet a high tag for a newly grad like me, but flattering.

Pinoy Valentine's

This post is a product of me, wondering. Just that.
               Happy Valentine ’s Day everyone!
A day from now, it’ll be happy couples’ day for everyone. Since this year’s valentine’s day is a Sunday, I am quite sure that there will be limited spaces in all places. Now, I wonder how many couples, or probably just buddies, celebrate the hearts’ day.
Just imagine this, by daytime of Feb 14, there are, like, couples celebrating since morning to be each other for the whole day. Some go to parks, e.g. Quezon Memorial Circle, EcoPark, Rainforest Waterpark (Pasig), and a lot others. Those some, is more likely around too many to count that just the couples alone, already occupy the most area in the above-mentioned spots.
When you go to malls, you’re still sure to see couples holding hands, going out of the cinemas, eating at restaurants, and sight-seeing. Last year, I went to the Mall of Asia with my ex (he was my boyfriend then) to, of course, celebrate the valentine’s day. The whole seaside area is occupied by hundreds of lovers looking out at the bay, eating TJ hotdogs, doing photo shoots and a lot others. And it was also really crowded inside the mall.
Now, when you try walking along Avenida, Recto, Quiapo, Cubao, Sta. Mesa and Makati to look for a place to stay at for the whole evening, you’ll end up saying “Why the hell are all people stuck up in places that I go”, hehe. About 90% of our local motels, hotels and apartelles don’t have vacancy during Valentine’s day. It’s pretty obvious that people do common stuffs during certain special dates. Like when it’s Christmas, Christmas parties and exchanging of gifts; while during New Year’s Eve, people makes noise. And so as with the lovers’ day, people commonly make love.
Restaurants. I kind of a wonder why people get to have lots of money for February 14. You see, generous men reserve special table for two for their woman. Some others don’t make reservations, they just eat in. FACT: Restos get higher profits during Valentine’s day and Christmas.
Some sweet wives or even girlfriends, prepare a candlelighted dinner for two at the comfort of their homes, instead of going out. This one is a lot cheaper but still thoughtful and mushy.
Now, of the places I’ve mentioned that has numerous folks during Valentine’s, where on earth do these people came from? It’s like they are dispersed around the country and met up at the places mentioned above during Valentine’s.
                Nonsense. I just wonder.

My Christmas Wishlist

Howdie! Merry Christmas folks!

It's almost Christmas but I still can't figure out what to give my boyfriend as a Christmas present. He has been a gift to me since he came into my life. I just want to show him that he is special to me.

And I still haven't got anything as a Christmas present for this year yet.nyahaha. Well, what I have in mind right now are not all material things. There are certain things that money just can't buy.And I probably would not win the nomnom's Limited Edition Starbucks Flash Drive because my list is not posh or fab. But, still I wanted to share to you what I really wanted for Christmas.

But to tell you honestly, my first wish is wish to have lots of followers in my blog. Just in case nomnom would help me out, my blog URL is I've been blogging for only a month and I really admit that I dont deserve that much traffic yet. But, I really want followers.

This will be my last semester in college. For that, I wish for God's provision for my tuition. Needless to say, I have to pay my tuition. I have persevered a lot to finish my thesis successfully. I just really hope that after all my hardships, I'll be able to graduate.

Hehe. This next wish is a silly one. I wish to have someone who will treat me with a venti cup of chocolate cream chip frappuccino. Merry Christmas..haha..

Fourth in my list is peace within my family. It has been two years since I've last talk to my sister. A part of me is telling me that I really hate and that I have to hate her. But, a part of me is telling me that she is my only sister and that when everyone turned their backs on me, she will still be there for me. Aaahhh..

I want brother, Yvan, to finally think before feeling bad about my papa. I just hope that Yvan will change. He needs wisdom.

And my last wish is that my classmates would realize that I have not done them anything wrong. My college years were sad because of them. They made me feel that I am not a friend to them. I just want to feel ok when I'm at school.

Merry Christmas...I hope this will be really merry one for me.

Earning with blog posts

I've discussed about money blogging in a seminar once this year. I was like a pro that time. -No, actually, not so pro. I was just so good at researching for the best points to discuss. And for a plus, i interviewed a real blogger. He was just so nice that he spared me some of his very hectic sched. Thanks kuya Fjords!

Now that I am really into it - blogging - let me tell you something that some others in the blogosphere tried to keep.

Monetizing your blog is something to do when you want to earn out from blogging. You start off from doodling whatever it is that's on your mind - from your best experiences to the worst ones, to social issues and national ones. Then. eventually, you will realize that blogging eats up your time.

Once in my web idle moments, I came to read a blog from His post was about the top 8 sites that keeps him earning. I tried reading and browsing the sites he has given. And of the eight sites, the best one that i would consider is the Blog Distributor.

Blogdistributor is a site that keeps bloggers and clients connected. It allows blogger to have blog about a client and earn from it.

Now it is more than just that. It asks for your standard rate for each job done and your average working days for blogging.

Just want to share this to everyone to give you the confidence of starting a blog.
